Let me preface by saying that this is not my first Anker product. I have purchased both their batteries and charging cables (both Micro-USB and Lightning). The price of these is rather steep compared to similar products for sale on Amazon, but these are anything but similar to those inferior products. Still, they are cheaper than factory/main stream alternatives. If you have ever owned an iPhone, you know all to well that the life span of a Lightning cable out of the box.This Lightning connector, as well as all the other Anker branded cables, are built to last. They are attractive, but also extremely durable. If our military isn't already using these for all their connection and charging needs, we may just not be the most well-equipped militia on Earth, They ARE that good. I wish I could comment on the Anker customer service team, but I have many cables that are 2-3 years old and function just as well as new, so I have never needed them. During this age of "cheapest and fastest" from development to deployment, this is very rare but also very welcome anytime in my home. The less time I have to spend explaining the problem to someone to receive a replacement, the more likely I am to add them to my all-to-short list of favorite retail companies.My specific use for this cable will probably appeal to less than 2% of the market share for this product, but that's okay. I am a perfectionist and I tend to nit-pick everything from the price of my breakfast cereal to the layout of the buttons on my new smart TV remote control. If it can be criticized, I WILL find something wrong with it. I am the guy who buys the boxed product at the back of the shelf because it has been handled by the least amount of hands (or so I tell myself). Saying that, I CANNOT find ANYTHING wrong with this product. Yes, it is only a foot long (11-3/4" to be exact), but that is the size I need for my application and you have to remember the golden rule when purchasing or reviewing anything -- do not buy a Honda and complain about how it is different from a Bentley.I am not using this to rid the clutter on my desk, I am using this to connect what I see from a $1000+ DJI Phantom 3 Professional. Why...because it does not leave any unintended clutter near my hands when I fly at altitudes that make the nose-bleeds the best seats in the house. With less clutter, I can concentrate solely on lining up the best shots and do not have to think about inadvertently ripping my $400 iPad from the grips of the viewing mount on my controller. I'm confident in the ability of this cable to do what it is supposed to, when it is supposed to. No questions asked. I don't worry so much about tearing the cable or damaging it in any way, but it is the perfect length that I don't have to worry about it getting snagged on anything either. For what is may be worth, I think this cable would go toe-to-toe with a full speed spinning prop and come out with a mark in the win column. Once again, it is THAT good.Whether your intended purpose is the same as mine or just to charge your iPhone while you sit at your desk day trading, you can't go wrong with this one. It is made for very few purposes, but for those few purposes, it is the #1 pick hands down.*Please note that the attached pictures are intended to show the usable adjustment angle for those of you that are using this cable to connect an iPad to the viewing platform of a DJI controller. For the rest, just take a minute to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of this product.
