Whoa! The M221A supports USB FAST CHARGING on the top port! Calling all DJI Smart Controller owners!
Though not advertised to do so, the top USB port SUPPORTS FAST CHARGING as needed by DJI's Smart Controller! This is the only multi-charger for the Mavic 2 that I am aware of, that supports USB fast charging. I'm not sure why (at the time of this writing) this listing, the owners manual, and the manufacturer's website all say "USB: 5v, 2A x2", but that is not correct. Maybe the design was recently updated? I've tested both USB ports on my unit (which I ordered late November 2019) using a MakerHawk USB3.0 Tester/Power Meter (while charging the DJI Smart Controller, as well as while charging a Samsung QC-compliant Galaxy S7 cellphone) and can confirm that the top USB port supports 5v, 9v, and 12v charging voltages - the USB test meter reports "QC2.0" when charging these. Furthermore, the voltages and currents measured are nearly identical to those when DJI's fast charger (which is included with the Smart Controller) is used - about 12.2V @ 1.93A. Bottom line - I feel completely confident in charging my smart controller using the top USB port of the M221A - what a pleasant surprise! As far as the bottom USB port goes, it's your basic 5V, 2A port as advertised.Flight battery charge ports:I am happy with these as well. Though the reported voltage (on the built-in Volt/Amp meter) on my unit is slightly below the DJI battery rating of 17.6V, I prefer this slightly lower voltage of around 17.5, as it puts less stress on the batteries without significantly affecting flight time. Also I should note that Port 3 shows a slightly different voltage from 1 and 2 on the meter, but I think this is an artifact of the possibility that this port is used to power the digital volt/amp meter and this throws the reading off a bit. The voltages measured at the three concentric connectors on my unit were nearly identical - I made a test fixture and moved the same battery to each port one at a time to verify this during the constant-voltage portion of the charge. The ports are completely independent, and were found to be equally adjusted (within 25mV), though the built-in volt meter suggested otherwise. For me, the indicated charge CURRENT tells the most about the remaining charge time when using this charger - you can see the initial constant current around 4A, then as the battery reaches its target voltage, the current will taper off over time to something close to zero indicated, shortly before charging completes.Somebody mentioned in another review that the battery connectors don't have a good feel or don't hold onto the battery very well. This may have been updated as well since that review. Mine look nearly identical to DJI's connectors AND THEY HOLD ON BETTER. In my opinion the DJI factory battery charger's connector is actually quite loose on the battery and feels much less secure than the Mavic Pro Platinum ones did. M211A's connectors feel just fine - similar to the fit and retention of the factory Mavic Pro Platinum, which I previously owned. To avoid confusion here: The M221A is for the Mavic 2 (Pro or Zoom) not the older Mavic Pro - I'm just making comparisons here.I also like that the flight battery charge cables are REMOVABLE from the charger. This allows the charger to fit into a travel case without binding or damage to those wires (see pic).Charge time:In my testing, a Mavic 2 battery that is discharged to 22% (you get the low battery warning at 25% and it takes 3% more to get on the ground) takes just under an hour to fully charge. Charging one, two, or all three batteries plus USB has no effect on the charge rate.Noise level:The fan on my M221A is impressively QUIET - no complaints!Summary:If you own a Mavic 2 with Smart Controller as I do, then I highly recommend this charger. It is equally suited to the standard controller as well of course. I have now modified my hard case to carry the M221A only - no factory chargers travel with me.

I bought this unit as a replacement charger for my DJI Phantom 4 Pro. It's such a great product, I don't know what I did without it before. First and foremost, it charges 3 of my phantom 4 batteries all the same time! 3 at the same time! My work requires me to fly my Phantom 4 for a extended period of time and therefore, I have several spare batteries. The ability to charge 3 at the same time, saved me money and precious charging time. One of the charging cable also let's me charge my remote control along with the batteries. So, I am really charging 4 things at the same time. I have used this product several times now. It is working great, the LED screen provides me the charging voltage and amperage of each charging port and the 2 additional USB Ports come in really handy as well. I can use them to charge my phone and tablets. For the price this product is a must have for all Phantom 4 pilots.

After more than a year, the products are still running well. I think the quality of this drone charger is very good.

I keep my P4 up in the air as much as possible - sometimes 15+ flights a day. With six total batteries and this charger I never have to worry about having a charged battery. Batteries stay cool during charge and it's nice to see the amp draw on each channel instead of relying on which light is flashing on the battery.
Seems well built and the cables are replaceable if you damage one. The box gets warm when charging three batteries simultaneously, but the internal fan is quiet and keeps up well on the heat dissipation. It runs with no issues on a 400W inverter.
If you're cycling lots of batteries this is a must-have item, at a great price too.

I Bought this thinking it would be nice to have a simultaneous charger, 2 of the ports for the Inspire 1 chargers didn't work right off the bat. I would plug them in and it gave me 1 or 2 blinks of the battery lights, then go straight to the last light and rapid blink. it would never charge, hot or cold, didn't matter. One of the Cables just didn't work in general. Well just took it out and noticed that after charging all the batteries on the 1 that worked my batteries went from 20ish minutes of flight time to 9-12min of flight time. I have been trying to find a way to get in touch with them because it ruined 5 batteries. I don't know why this happened, or how to get in touch with this company!

When working in my job to complete orthomosaics with my drone, I am likely to run out of fresh batteries. I can’t work with the battery charger that comes with the drone since it only charges 1 battery at a time. Even having 5 batteries, I can’t complete jobs as quickly as I needed. Instead of buying more batteries at $150 each, I decided to buy this charger to open up the bottleneck in my charging efficiency. Now I can charge 3 batteries at a time (or 4 if I bring in the stock charger as well) which allows me to complete the jobs faster without having to spend more money on batteries or need a separate case to haul around 10 batteries. Excellent charger that does everything I need.

Better QC would help a lot! The LED lights were pushed in & misaligned. Did not take much to fix that. One of the 2 Inspire 2 cables were missing, so could only charge 2 batteries. It did charge faster than the stock charger. I like the size. The fan is noisy & it would be nice if there was something to tell you when charging stops. The fan goes on whether it's charging or not. It would have been a lot smarter to allow for charging 4 Inspire 2 batteries instead of USB ports!! I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. It does deserve more than 3 :)
