Need Battery Clips and Failed Out of the Box
Very disappointing. Write up for BESTEK 300W Power Inverter DC 12V to 110V AC Car Adapter with 4.8A Dual USB Car Charger makes no mention of needing battery clips for devices over 150W as recommended in the user notes (attached). Battery clips are available separately and as part of a package, but needing battery clips was an unwelcome surprise. Green light came on when plugged into cigarette lighter but changed to red (shut down) as soon as I turned on small wattage (2.5W grinder and 5.5W hand vacuum). When connected directly to the battery with battery clips, 200W grinder worked, but again the same low wattage devices caused the inverter to shut down. Received *no* response from BESTEK gmail address for service provided by 1/2 page user guide.Minor update - Have since learned that *any* device of 150 W or more should only be run from battery connections, not cigarette lighter adapter. Since this inverter is rated at 300W, probably should only be sold with battery clips. Also, some devices pure sine wave inverters; this is a modified sine wave inverter.

Minor update - Have since learned that *any* device of 150 W or more should only be run from battery connections, not cigarette lighter adapter. Since this inverter is rated at 300W, probably should only be sold with battery clips. Also, some devices pure sine wave inverters; this is a modified sine wave inverter.
