Marco Polo is the only long range, up to 2 miles line-of-sight, tracking system that works everywhere you fly – or unintentionally land – with no need for GPS reception or cellular service and no monthly fees. The new Advanced Marco Polo tag transceiver is waterproof and crush resistant so you can find your aircraft even after a crash and it comes with a versatile mounting system that allows the tracking tag to be attached to the aircraft in a wide variety of ways. Marco Polo will not interfere with any of your on-board radio systems because it does not transmit any RF energy until activated by the hand-held locator from the ground. In the case of a long-range fly away you can place the locator into search mode and head off in the general direction of the crash or perform a grid search, Marco Polo will search every inch of the surrounding area as you move and then guide you to the exact location, within inches. Up to 2 additional tag transceivers can be added to the system at any time and the Marco Polo locator is compatible with both RC and pet tracking tags.

I finally crashed my Mavic Pro-2 this weekend. Lodged it 60 feet up into a tree next to a lake. I was able to get within a 100 yards using the flight logs from the quad. I then turned on the locator and it got me to within ten feet of the hostile tree. Scouted around for a few minutes and found it. Now the really cool part. It took me almost two days to get a line over the branch and shake the bird down. It rained for almost 36 of those hours. When it came down the beacon came loose. I turned on the locator just to see if I could find it. After almost 48 hours it was still giving me a signal. I found it sitting in ten inches of water in the lake, just beeping away! I will NEVER fly my quad or any other UAV without a Marco Polo attached. Thank you MP.

Love the unit! I'm using it on my DJI Phantom 4 Drone. Absolutely the best accessory I have purchased to protect my investment. We did several tests with the unit hidden and used the tracker to locate it. The tracker located the small unit every time. Even through hills, trees, and even a large home it always led us to the drone. Will never fly again without it. I do suggest doing several test runs so you will get use to the way the tracker leads you to the object your tracking. I did have problems charging the small unit you attach to your device. Customer service at Eureka Technology was excellent and got me running within 24 hours. Super company. They really want to help you. Over all.. Get peace of mind! Buy it and you will not have to worry about finding that precious object you so love.

With us trying to fool each other we have found the device every time including being buried in a snow bank. I placed the transmitter in the basement behind the large steel oil tank. The receiver took me right to it (about sixty feet) with no problem despite wiring, plumbing, and that oil tank in the way. Good start, I'll know more this Spring. I do see why other reviewers have emphasized the need for practice before things get serious.

I was told by Marco Polo that this would work very well in my high power rocket and that they had a lot of experience in rocketry. I only used it once and it did not work at all. The rocket landed softly a few miles away in the total openness of the Black Rock desert. After the rocket landed I turned on the Marco Polo only to see it say, "no signal". We drove around the desert for hours and almost gave up on finding the rocket. Then we spotted the chute on the desert floor with a pair of high power binoculars. It was only when we were at about 1/4 mile away that it finally picked up the signal. I'm not saying this finder can't work, or might not work in a different application, but in my high power rocket, it didn't work at all!
