stated as 2% - then stated as 5%. I have a utility fan spec'd at 185 CFM which allows me to check this discrepancy. It gave a steady readout at 4% accuracy occasionally "blipping" to 2% accuracy, although you will probably trust the reading at 4% accuracy. (This at least explains the two specs). Also, make sure the arrow on top of the anemometer is in the direction of the wind or air-flow and you are facing the LCD screen (not stated in the instructions). Be aware, however, this model does not have PC-connect to log data or provide a graphical wind-profile, something you may need if taking wind data.
However, the temperature sensor seems to be inside the case--that's my guess at least. It's very inaccurate, reading 6 to 10 F high. It also responds laughably slowly to changes. The combination of the two effects is why I think the sensor is not in free air.
Of course, over-reading the temperature makes any relative humidity measurement meaningless, and since I wanted this in part for low -temp/dew point spread information as early warning of fog conditions for flying and sailing, this had to be returned.
If you just want wind and baro, this would be great.
