I normally love Anker products and this was not different when I 1st recevied the product. I purchased this in July and initially it was amazing; tangle free, sturdy and seem to be of great quality. It allows for fast charge on my Samsung S7 and the braided fibers all along the cable was just an added bonus. It has been a little over 4 months now and the fiber part of the cable is coming out of the end that connects to the phone's power port. While I did not expect it to be last for years I had higher hopes than just 4 months.

I still have a few micro-USB devices around that need charging, and my old cable was fraying at the ends. This one is much nicer (braided, so it doesn't kink easily) and seems sturdier at the ends. (Hard to say just how long it will last, since I've only had it for a short time, but I expect it will be at least as long-lived as other cables I've used.) The micro-USB end has a nice firm insertion feel, though I expect that will lessen with time. It comes with a little magnetic-clasping carrying case, which I might use for earbuds or something.

Fantastic cable. I have been using this, along with a variety of other Anker cables, for nearly a year now, and this product has lived up to nearly all of my expectations for a charging cable.

THE GOOD:
- The cable seems durable, and has lasted in a backpack for months without fraying, permanently bending, or breaking through all the wear and tear.
- This cable is able to handle higher charging currents, ranging from 0.5 Amps to 3.4 Amp ports I have tested it with. And works excellently with Anker PowerIQ ports.
- After months of use with multiple devices, this still has nearly as firm a grip in the micro usb port on my devices as it did the day I purchased it. It has outlasted the OEM provided cables with my phone and tablet, and cheaper ones i purchased in a pinch. Because of the durability of construction of the connector, I haven't had to replace cables in months.
- The braided nylon is stylish, yet remains understated.
- IT DOESN'T TANGLE, HALLELUJAH

THE BAD:
- The cable is a bit bulkier than other cables I have used, due in part to the thickness of the cord (braided nylon isn't thin), and the rigidity, which doesn't allow it to bend nearly as far as cheaper cables (presumably this helps to extend longevity).
- Your friends will try and steal your superior charging cable.

THE UGLY:
- The braided nylon, particularly in the grey variety, does seem to pick up quite a bit of dust, and can be a little difficult to clean on occasion.

Conclusion:
I am a huge fan of Anker ever since I began using their products, and this cable is no exception. The durability, looks, and performance outshine every other cable I have used, and I have had zero complaints for this product so far. yes, it can pick up a bit of dust, but that doesn't hinder performance or reliability in the least bit. I have recommended this product, and other Anker cables, to people before, and I wholly recommend this to you.

Listen. Shopping for cables sucks. My husband and I use A LOT of charging cables for A LOT of different products. When enough cables broke to finally affect our quality of life, I knew I had to buy some new ones. But I definitely did not want to pay those ridiculous "on-brand" prices. So I searched on multiple websites including Amazon, studying all the features, reviews, prices, etc. Naturally, that took forever (I'm sure you all know this feeling). Another month went by. In January 2020, I finally decided on some Anker cables - 3ft to charge my phone and tablet pens at school/work/home, and 6ft to charge my husband's phone at home. I would have bought more, but I was skeptical. The cables are heavily braided, look great, and come with somewhat-unnecessary-but-appreciated travel cases. Well, guess what. A few days ago, my husband told me that his 6ft cable stopped charging his phone and actually started draining the battery power. We tried the cable on my phone, swapped out the wall plug, tried on different walls and ports, and finally concluded that despite looking pristine, the cable was defective. I contemplated buying a new cable, knowing that I may have to waste my time to search for a new brand to try. But I remembered Anker's product warranty service. It was surprisingly simple. I followed the link from my Amazon orders page to Anker website, read the instructions, filled out a form, and attached my Amazon receipt and a photo of my cable. I got an automated email right away, asking to reply with "Yes" for service. After I replied, I got an email from a customer service rep who apologized for my inconvenience and informed me that they just sent out a replacement cable. They asked for my patience, as with COVID-19 going on, the shipping may be longer than the usual 7-10 business days. GUYS IT GOT HERE IN 2 DAYS. It's a brand new cable with a brand new packaging, and it charges perfectly. Now, I don't know if I initially got a dud or Anker products are just not that durable, but I'd buy their products again with this level of customer service and efficiency. HOW DO THEY EVEN MAKE MONEY? I'm going to check out the rest of their products now. Try the cable, and it you hate it, just return it to Amazon.
