Some people really like being able to see the LED display on their remote controller, even though most of the data is also available in the DJI Go app on their tablet. This bracket holds the tablet above the RC so the display is visible.I wasn't sure I was going to like this bracket when I first took it out of the box. It felt like flimsy plastic, and the latch mechanism for the part that goes around the RC didn't seem like it was strong enough to stay closed well.I needn't have worried. Upon closer inspection, this isn't typical plastic. It feels more like nylon or some other high-strength plastic composite that lends extra strength to the bracket. And once you put the RC in the bracket, the latch closes nice and tight. It won't come undone. And the tablet holder easily accommodates a 10.5-inch iPad Pro. A nylon neck lanyard also is included. There are plenty of adjustments available so you can position your tablet exactly to your liking. You do need to make sure to tighten all the hinges well so the weight of the tablet won't cause them to slip. But once you do that, this bracket is very solid and about as well balanced as you could hope for.The only real drawback: The bracket does make the 5D button on the controller difficult to use. I think I'll be able to fix this by drilling out the bottom corner of the bracket just slightly with a Dremel.Overall, this tablet holder is lightweight and easy to use.

I received the new addition that does fit the Mavic Air controller. They cut out a small section so it fits nicely between the 2 joysticks. If you have the new Mavic Air, be sure you order this new 2018 edition and clearly states it will fit the Mavic Air. The other one is only for the Mavic Pro or Spark, I have a full size 10" tablet so I was worried this might not be strong enough to hold it but it does a great job. I like this tablet holder over the type that mount your tablet in front of the controller which prevents you from being able to see the controls. Since my tablet is a 10" it does make it feel a bit top heavy but after using it for awhile, I didn't even notice it. The tablet holder has multiple sections which allow you to place your tablet in just about any position and angle you want. The included lanyard is very strong and can adjust so people like me with long arms can use it comfortably. It attaches very securely to the tablet holder and give you a nice feeling knowing if you slip the controller and your tablet won't go crashing to the ground. Overall I am very happy. For the price you cannot beat it.

Most iPad/tablet attachments for Mavic Pro controller mount the tablet in front of the controller, where a cellphone would normally be attached. That blocks the view of the controller panel, buttons, and joysticks. That makes no sense to me. This attachment securely snaps around the controller body. The tablet is held above and behind the controller, so the pilot has full view of the controller screen, and all the buttons and joysticks. Variable adjustments let you position the tablet just where you want it. My only complaint, and thus 4 stars instead of 5, is that the product came with NO instructions on how to attach it to the controller. After fooling around for a few minutes, I figured it out (snaps around the controller with the snap toward you.) Even a single sheet with a couple of pictures or diagrams of how it attaches to the controller would have been helpful. Otherwise, it works great. The supplied lanyard is a must, as the controller with a tablet attached is somewhat unruly and heavy compared to using a cellphone, but the picture is much nicer.

This mount is far superior to the ones that I've seen that cause the Mavic controller screen to be blocked by the tablet. I really like being able to see either display, at a glance.

It does feel a tad bit flexy/flimsy so I've been very careful. But so far no problems at all holding an Asus Zenpad 10. I gave it 5 stars anyway because of the smart and precise design.

The "top-heaviness" some have described depends mostly on the angle that the controller is held. I have the mount adjusted so that the controller screen and the tablet are pretty much perpendicular to the ground. That way I can look directly at either screen. It probably doesn't feel nearly as top-heavy to me, as it would for some One that held it with a tablet nearly parallel to the ground. But that would be a suboptimal viewing angle for an LCD anyway.

Overall it's exactly what I wanted, to efficiently mount the 10" tablet onto the Mavic controller.

This is where the screen should be! Put an iPad mini in this and take your drone photography to new heights! Does not obstruct your view of the controller as the other mounts do. Only wish is that it could hold the iPad in a case... but honestly it would be a bit too heavy then. I use a thin clear silicone skin and an anti-glare screen protector on the iPad and all is well. Easy to attach to the controller and iPad and is very stable. I recommend to use the neck lanyard as dropping this rig would be bad. You can get the short cable to go from the controller to the iPad here in Amazon. Only real issue is that it covers the ventilation ports of the controller so not recommended to use in hot conditions. Works great with phones too!
Pro tip: Use your thumbs and pointer fingers to hold the joysticks for more precision control of your aircraft.

In my opinion this is the best tablet mount design for the Mavic Pro controller just because it doesn’t obstruct the controller display or interferes with the holding position. It’s minimalistic and it attaches securely to the controller. The reason is not a 5 is because of the cheap construction and poor execution. The serrated surfaces of the articulating joints are very small. It would be nice if it had a more positive engagement so you wouldn’t have to tighten the knobs so much to keep the position you’d like. It gets the job done but I don’t think it’s going to last much.

I bought this for the intended purpose of holding a Huawei MediaPad T3 tablet in place above my Mavic Air controller - I liked the design as it kept the screen away from the controller and didn't cover the controls or sticks. The plastic is durable and fits the controller well.
Only issue I had was that, although my tablet was 7inches big across the diagonal of the screen, that was not the case when looking at the horizontal dimensions across the screen which was under 4 inches wide and therefore did not fit the tablet holder. I was still able to use the holder as I had a clip I use in the car for GPS which also attached via ball socket but is not ideal.
